Online education has improved leaps and bounds. No one in the field of education can take it for granted anymore. Read how online education can be a supplement to your growth if you use it correctly.
As the title suggests, we will be discussing the pros and cons of online education vis a vis offline education. We will try to be as objective as we can. By the end of it, you will be well informed about the advantages of one over the other.
Offline Education:
This was the only type of education until the advent of the Web. Students and teachers had to be available face to face for learning.
Pros:
- Students can clarify their doubts on the spot.
- It has a personal touch to it.
Cons:
- You have to be in-person present for this.
- One size fits all type of approach.
- You have to travel for it, so it is heavy on time and money.
- Getting individual attention can be challenging.
Online Education:
This is the new kid in the arena, but a formidable one. It has many benefits over offline education. But like everything else, it does have its share of problems.
Pros:
- One on One attention to students.
- Big saving on time and money.
- Teacher has to create the content only once and student can access it as and when they want.
- User's experience can be tailored based on his preferences.
Cons:
- Personal touch is missing, but work is going on in this direction.
- Doubts clearing is a bit of challenge.
So, which one is better, you would ask. I would say neither one because neither one can completely replace the other. So they are not competitors but complement each other.
